Everyday this community woke up to walk to the neighbouring village to collect water. Despite going through a lot of trouble to collect water, the water that was usually collected wasn’t safe or clean!
Now thanks to the Jushi family, there is access to clean and safe water! Community members can now spend the time they used to spend collecting water doing income generating activities. Also, the local children’s school performance will greatly improve since they are able to spend more time concentrating on their studies.

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
