Kamowa, Mzimba, Malawi

“The installation went well and everyone enjoyed the occasion. They have many wells in the village which are not protected. In the past, snakes have been falling and dying in the wells making the water unhealthy for humans. Now they thank drop4drop for the good water given to them. The villagers lack many things in their day to day life. There are no good roads in the area as well as health facilities. Since fertiliser cost is high, many cannot afford buying making them have little produce. We have introduced them to Tephrosia and we await with happiness to see what the future holds.”

Mr Bongoya,
Village Head

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
