“This village is in Ephangweni where villages close by have benefited from pumps. People like our pump that is why every village wants to have one or two! The pumps are most liked by everyone because it is easy to use. Like other villages in the area, the people are poor and lack many things in their day to day living. Many girls drop out of school because they rush into marriages. Parents fail to pay school fees for their children because they have no money. At least with clean water village people can focus on health and using water for crops.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
