“Chikondawanga is one of the villages in Hoho that has a lot of people who have challenges with good water. They really appreciate what Wells for Zoë has done for the community because within a short period of time we have given them a pump. There are no good roads in the village which is a problem during rainy seasons. There are no trees in the village and they requested for tree seedlings. There is a preschool there but they lack training and workshops for the caregivers. Our different teams will get back to them.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
