“The villagers were very happy to see us arrive in their village to install a water pump for the first time. They could hardly believe that the day had finally come when they would have access to clean and safe water within their community. Over the years, they had approached many non-governmental organisations and individuals seeking assistance with their water needs, but no one had been able to help them. They expressed their sincere gratitude to Drop4Drop and Levy for providing them with a reliable source of clean water.

The people of this village are eager to work with anyone willing to support the development of their area. Many men have migrated to South Africa in search of better employment opportunities, while the village nursery schools, although present, lack access to training programmes and educational workshops.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
