“The old well in our village got damaged and also the water from the well is not safe for drinking. The bushes and plants have been grown and we are not able to make use of the water. Since the ground level water has gone down most of the time the well remains without water and only during the rainy season the well use to get charged with water. The water will not be sufficient and rest of the months the well remains without water. So the water scarcity was high and we had been longing for some source. Now the water availability is one of great support and our people have found a new source and we are very happy and we shall be maintaining the new project with upmost care. The tank was set up but the water was not available as the other projects areas had been facing water scarcity. Now the problems are solved and we are relieved from the issue.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
