“I am T.Saritha (31 Years) W/o Thirumalai of Sengarai SC Village privileged to Thank and greet NEWS NGO, DROP4DROP, U.K. and AMAZING TOMO CS TEAM, who have sponsored a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and 2000 Liters Overhead tank to our Sengarai SC Village. Some of the main problems we used to suffer is to bring water to our homes. Lots of time used to get wasted to bring the water and we were not able to cook in time and to send the children to schools on time. So the teachers used to scold our children and our children most of the days were not able to complete their home works and used to fear to go to their schools. Now we have great relief and our children do not waste time to bring water as now we have water nearer to our home. We are fetching water very fast and only little time is taken to bring water. So we are able to attend other works and also go in time to our casual labour work and are able to get our wages. Thank you very much.

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
