Narukopo Community, Turkana, Kenya

“This water has really helped us so much and has been indeed useful, before the rehabilitation, we had to traverse long distances so as to get access to water which in turn was never clean and unsafe for human consumption. In return, we are really grateful. With water at the village center we will now start small open market around since people (Ladies) will always be coming here every time to get water.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
