“The people in the village were happy because although some places in the area have bore-holes, this village was unfortunately not considered. There is less development in this village but the people in this community are hard workers. They are grateful for drop4drop to uplifting their lives by providing access to safe water and promising to give tree seeds and preschools workshops. The task of having to walk long distances for poor quality water is the reality faced by millions of people throughout the country. The journey, often carried out by young children, results in them failing to attend school and not receive the education they require. Many thanks for helping change the lives of these village people.”
Mr J Tembo,
This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
