“In these hard times of the pandemic, every single penny has to be saved for survival. No one knows of what is to happen or what tomorrow looks like so even a penny spent on water is salt added on a wound. The cost of two jerry cans of water can buy a packet of salt or even buy sauce for the family to have a meal. Safe water in this community has been very expensive but now that will all be in the past with this our new water source with safe, clean and free water. We can now save what could have been spent on water to acquire other basic needs like food. Thank you very much”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
