“This water source is going to re unite our community. While you were coming in, I am sure you noticed how far our community is far away from other villages and town areas. We are deep in the mountains so spread out that even national programs for water access would never have reached us. It’s so surprising how you people reached us. Our local leaders all failed helping us with safe water in fear of the costs and expenses that come with providing us with safe water. Many people had moved to other towns, families are dispersed due to the search for better water services but we happy for the new well that was constructed in our community. It will provide us with safe water and we hope families can re unite and all our people who left for other communities can comeback. We are truly grateful”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
