“The tap which provides us water is not directly in our village and we have to move to the nearby village and bring the water pots on our heads and hips. The time consumed was more and also we had suffered headaches, body pain and fever by taking so much time in bringing the water to our home. The children were not comfortable as they could not find the required water for the day today usage. Most of the days the children used to go late to their schools and even after they return home they were not able to find the required water and thus were very upset of the situation and the poor condition prevailing at our home. Now the new water project has solved all these problems and the children and our villagers are very happy to make use of the water and we are finding better health conditions also in our home.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
