“Now we are feeling advantageous with the drinking water bore-well installed in our village through the help of drop4drop. Our domestic problem is solved. Before this well, in this old age, I have to walk 2KMs away to bring a single pot of water (15 litres), in this manner I have to go 2KMs away to bring each pot of water. I have faced many hardship daily to bring sufficient water for my family. I am agriculture farm labour. As I spent ½ day for bringing water, I was unable to go for labour full day. So before the well, I only receive ½ of the income, thus my family living in poverty. But now after installation of this well, I am very very happy, I am able to bring sufficient water within ½ hour, as the well is very near to my home. Now I am able to attend my job for full day, thus I am receiving my full payment for my job every day. Our family’s economical condition will be improved in future. Many many thanks to the donors of this well.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
