“I am Mrs. Kamatchi of Vinayaga Nagar SC Village. I’m happy and humbled to thank and greet NEWS NGO, DROP4DROP, U.K. and A GIFT FROM EVERY WELL WATER FOUNDATION, U.K. for Sponsoring a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor. Also A GIFT FROM EVERY WELL WATER FOUNDATION, U.K. for Sponsoring a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and a 2000 Litres Overhead Tank to our Vinayaga Nagar SC Village. It is our great joy to see a new water project in our village and we’re very happy to see clean water from the Borewell.

Our difficulties have come to an end. We are able to get the required water and we were also given tips on how to use the water in a safe manner. The water which we used to bring from the open wells and ponds used to be very dirty and contaminated. Since we had no other way, we used to make use of this water and this had caused health problems. Now we are very happy and our situation has totally changed. Now there’s no long-distance walking and the children are able to get ready in time to go to their schools. We are happy to see our children bathe daily and remain healthy.

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
