“Prior to the construction of this well, we were going to adjacent village by walking 3 ½ KMs spending about 4 to 5 hours time to get water as we have not sufficient water source. Now we are happy that now we have got the hand pump well at central place of our village which very near to our home. So now we need not to go distance place for water, our time is ours. We can do our income generating activities within our saved time. Our economical condition is also improving now. In addition our village people are participating in health and hygiene awareness programme which is a part of this drinking water bore-well programme
implemented by drop4drop, with sponsorship of generous people from U.K. in the memory of Steven Albiston. We express our gratitude to all of them and wish healthy and bountiful lives.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
