“People were very happy in the village being the first time to have a pump. They are very thankful to drop4drop for the pump given to them. Women have been walking long distances to get water from an open well to drink. People are willing to work with organisations in all fields. They are also encouraging the tree planting programme so that they should reforest their area. The chief said that during the past in his area people were not using fertiliser when farming but due to wanton cutting down of trees the fertility is gone and for this reason they want to plant more trees in the area.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
