Bulic Village, Warap State, South Sudan

‘My name is Ayii Akuong Akeen, I am a father of six children ranging from three years to eighteen years of age. Four out of six children have attended the school while the other two will join them soon. When the well is broken down in our village, we do suffer with our animals a lot. Now we are happy for the newly trained well repair mechanics that belong to our community who will come as soon as we consult them. That is now a great hope to us. Now we will work cooperatively with them for provision of clean and safe drinking water in our community.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
