“Sir, prior to installation of this bore-well in our village, we have to go to the village outskirts agriculture bore-well situated at 2½KM away. It takes us more than 3 hour daily to bring water for our domestic needs. Some times in summer, we wait for mobile water tanker. Now after installation of this hand pump bore-well in our village, I am happy to say that, now we are getting water within ½ hour for our entire domestic needs. Daily we saved about 2½ hours of time. Now my husband is going to his job in right time, my daughter is going to her school in right time, because now we need not go far for water and we need not wake up too early in the morning to go for collecting water. The health worker is teaching us good hygiene habits in our village.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
