“Many community members depend on livestock in our community, therefore we had to share our pond that was the only source of water with the animals in the community. Animals are not like humans, they will just step into the water defecate in it, urinate in it and yet we also had no choice but use the same water. This was a very great challenge to us which caused diseases. Now we have a modernised constructed water source that is secure. We no longer worry about sharing a water source with the animals.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
