“The tap is very old and also the water provided through this project is also very less. One hour the water line man opens it and each of us have to stand in long queue and fetch them. So the water which is available from the tap is not sufficient for domestic purposes. The cooking time gets more time and we are not able to go for daily labor. The less availability of water is a great hindrance for us to go for labor work and we miss out the wages. So the poor availability of water was a great struggle for us. Now we are able to find the required water sources and the children are dressed well after bathing and they are able to go to the school with freshness. Even after they return from the school they are able to get refreshed and thus they are healthy and also happy. I am able to go for daily labor whenever available without any problem.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
