Kindly donated during the DROP4DROP x ED SHEERAN campaign

The water crisis is a growing problem in Tamil Nadu, India. As tap water has stopped running, individuals and families are relying on alternative water sources such as distant, unreliable public water pumps, in many instances forcing communities to access contaminated water sources and spend hours travelling to dirty water sources. Thanks to the support of the DROP4DROP x ED SHEERAN campaign, 820 houses in Thimabupalapuram village now have access to clean water!

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
