‘I am Sandhana(19 Years) D/o Mani of Thanipoondi ST Village Happy and Humbled to thank and greet NEWS NGO, DROP4DROP, U.K. and kindly donated by JOCKEY CLUB CATERING THROUGH PURCHASES OF LIFE WATER for Sponsoring a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and a 2000 Liters Overhead Tank to our Thanipoondi ST Village. We are getting water from the Panchayat line and all the members of the village are depended on this one facility. Moreover, the duration of availability of water is very less and thus we do not get the required water and used to
walk long distances to bring water from ponds and open well. The water was not safe for drinking and our children suffer skin problems, cough and cold. So, most of the time our children were in disease prone state. Now we are very happy to see the new water sources in our village and we can get water 24/7 and it is a great opportunity and we feel blessed for the opportunity you have made possible. This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
