‘I am Mrs.Pallavi W/o Kaviarasu of Silom Quarters, Sathyavedu Thank you to NEWS NGO, DROP4DROP U.K. and CORE FORCE for a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and a 2000 Liters Overhead Tank to our Silom Quarters, Sathyavedu. We thank NEWS NGO for selecting our village and identifying that we were in need of access to clean water. We did not believe that the water project would be implemented in our village, but when the vehicle carrying the borewell unit reached our village we became very happy. When the water gushed from the borewell it gave us great joy. Now we are able to get the needed water and we are fully relieved from the hardship of lack of clean water. Our children are very happy and we see our children taking a bath happily, washing their hands frequently and following preventive measures. Thank you very much for all your support CORE FORCE.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
