“Our gratitude to drop4drop for helping us with a drinking water borewell. Previously when our community did not have drinking water bore-well, we were approaching neighbouring village for the water by walking 2 1/2 kilometers. It was daily hardship for our community
people particularly for our women and school going children. Now as the drop4drop initiative helped us with a new drinking water bore-well, we are not going anywhere else to fetch water. Our community people are now very happy. We are now benefiting in several ways i.e., adults are spending more time for income generating works which will be most helpful for us for our poverty reduction, the children are sparing their time for their studies which will be most helpful for them for their bright future. We are also happy with the health education programme introduced by drop4drop ”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
