“The water was available in a private farm. We used to find it very delicate in going inside and bring water and we were not comfortable to avail such water and we used to be ill treated by the owner of the farm. But we had to remain patient as our need was such we had to suffer shame. Water was a great dream for us. We never dreamt that this new water project will reach our village. We felt very happy when the NEWS NGO had undertaken the survey and we started to develop little hope and when the water project was installed we had felt great relief. It is really a boon in our lives and we convey our heartfelt gratitude for all your concern on poor people like us. We thank each and every one of the members of MAD TASTY, DROP4DROP, U.K. and ultimately remain grateful to NEWS NGO.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
