“We now live healthily! You are such a loving people for constructing this well in our community. Our children will now drink clean safe water and live healthily. The source of water in our community has been a pond which has been highly polluted which has brought disaster upon many families, young children were getting infected because they were using polluted water which led to cholera, typhoid and bilharzia as well as skin infections. Even those that had saved a lot of money, had to spend it on healthcare and yet there was no other option to fight the infection rate.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
