“We came to this village many years back when we were first married. This area, where our in laws live is very dry, rocky and water scarce. For years and years we have fetched water from far away because there was no drinking water source in our area. It is always the women and girls collecting water, that is the social norm here. Collecting water is a laborious job and for this reason we, the women and girls, normally consume the least water and therefore suffer the most from different diseases. All of these issues have now been significantly relieved thanks to the installation of the bore-well, we are so grateful.”
