“People in this village of Matimani were over the moon to receive a pump in the village for the first time ever. They visited so many offices for water help in the village but no one helped. They are thankful to wells for Zoë for assisting the village within a shortest period of time. This village is located very far from trading centres and people have problems to find their daily necessities. They depend on farming but no good markets to sell their produce and instead vendors go there and buy their produce at very low prices.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
