“This is a new place for a pump installation. The installation went on well and people were happy to see a pump for the first time in the area. They are also thankful to drop4drop for giving this village a pump. Since the place is very far from trading centres, people are poor. They grow crops like tobacco and food crops. Women like working in fields, it brings money in to the families. They need more tree seeds to plant during the planting season and will be eager to do this in the new season.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
