“It gives happiness to say that the new water project in our village through NEWS NGO is of great support and we are able to get safer and full amount of water what we needed. The water tank in our village enables us to get only little water and we used to stand in long queue and the water availability was very little. We were not able to make use of it and it was contaminated also. The overhead tanks were not cleaned and thus the water was also not safe. Now we are sure about better sources and we will become healthier also.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
