“As a mother, my only dream is to keep my family happy and see my children live happy and healthy lives. Water has been a nightmare in our community shuttering my dream of healthy children, my children are allergic to the pond water so I am always making journeys to the health Centre seeking remedies for their skin problems. It really hurts me to see my children live being supported by medicine. They have to take medication everyday to avoid feeling itchy from bathing pond water. I am very happy for the new water well in our community, maybe my children can now bath without taking medication first. This is a dream come true, more frequent safe baths for my children and good health. Thank you very much for such a great opportunity.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
