The installation was good and women and children danced and sang songs in appreciation for the pump installed in their village. People have always drawn water from the river which is far from the village. They thanked WfZ for helping this village.

There are no good roads in the area and movement is very bad from one place to another. Schools are very far from the village causing most children in the village to not go to school. There is no health facility in the area and more problems when they get sick.

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
