“My children have suffered with a very bad itchy skin I tried different kinds of herbs and applied on the skin even gave them to drink herbal medicine all in vain. I went to the local hospital and asked the doctor. He said he had got a number of cases like that and it was due to the water one uses to bathe. He called it swimmers itch. Now we have clean water, my children and I have very smooth clear skins because we bathe very clean water.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
