“ Our families are in good health and we can now concentrate on development activities rather than treating water –borne diseases like it was before. My wife used to close down her shop for hours each day just to go and look for safe clean water which was over 4 kilometres away. Today she enjoys clean, accessible water right in our village. That has meant she can earn more because her shop is now always open. We shall no longer get sick from Skin diseases and stomach aches like we used because now we have clean and safe water in our community. We will now be able to save money which we would have spent on medication. We want to thank Hijinks and Drop 4 Drop for constructing us this clean source of water in our community. With this clean water, Our lives are going to be transformed.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
