“The people in my community never thought they would have safe water any soon . We used to wake up very early in the morning to go fetch water and we would lose hours each day in search for clean water. We collected this water was from swamps and ponds because there was no near by clean source of water in this community. This led to spread of water related diseases in this community which led to spending alot of money treating these diseases such as typhoid ,cholera and diarrhoea.

Now with this constructed water source, our community has clean water and the water related illnesses will be no more leading to increased savings because there will be less spending on treating water related diseases. Having clean water in this community brings a smile on everyones face in this community. We want to thank Tomo and Drop 4 drop for constructing for us this clean source of water.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
