‘We are very grateful to the donors for helping us with clean water. Without the clean water, we would still be relying on the pond close to our homes for our washing and drinking. Thanks to this well that is close by, I can send my children to help me collect water in the morning, and then send them to school on time. I need not worry that such large monies will have to go to medicines to cure illnesses caused by dirty water, as now the water is clean and will improve our health tremendously.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
