Kiryangobe Village, Hoima District, Uganda

‘Before Drop4drop’s interventions in Kiryangobe village, there were many difficulties linked to water. For a long period of time, children were particularly affected by the impact of water scarcity. Women are always among the first victims to be affected by water challenges as they are tasked with fetching water in several families. This often means being forced to walk long distances. For women like Namuddu Alice, water scarcity is now just a memory in her life, thanks to Drop 4 drop. Clean water will be a great blessing to this village.  The women will no longer need to spend hours each day fetching water and will now be able to have greater focus on creating economic activity for their families.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
