Kindly Donated by Chartwells and Craigroyston Highschool Through Purchases of Life Water

This community has had no access to safe water for a while. With a population of over 300 members, water borne diseases have greatly affected the community members of Kawango before Drop4drop came into rescue.

‘We are now free from the water-borne diseases and other water related illnesses. We want to thank Drop4drop and Craigroyston Highschool for constructing this clean source of water in our village. Access to clean water in this community will significantly contribute to improved livelihoods and sanitation among the community members who used to face issues related to lack of clean water for many years. We are lucky that we have got clean water in our community . We used to get water far from here and it was unsafe water. Now, our lives will improve and no more suffering from water borne diseases.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
