“This project has been completed. The community now have clean drinking water for about 350 of it’s inhabitants. The community has been neglected for some time due to its remoteness and hard to reach access roads. “This project will greatly benefit us because we now have clean drinking water to drink and consume in our households” said Konyaji Jallow, head of the village. “Our children can now stay in school and learn instead of struggling collecting water daily. Thanks to this project for shaping our future.” Ajara Bah, women’s leader in the village expressed her enormous thanks to the project and the immense benefits it has on their life. ‘’Njaarama goonga weli” (We thank you BIG)”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
