Kasozi Ntenga 2 Village, Mpigi District, Uganda

“The community members of Kasozi Ntenga 2 village have seen many benefits since the installation of this water source in their community. The time saved for children has improved school attendance. You see the children here today only because it is school holidays, otherwise they are studying. As well as less time spent collecting water, the fact that children suffer less from water-borne diseases is one reasons for the increase in school attendance after the construction of this water source.

But now we have a clean source of water in our community.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
