“Most of the ponds in our community were snake infested. We have been afraid of fetching water because of the big snakes. Our parents have tried to clear the bushes around the ponds and even tried to spray with some chemicals but it has not worked. But this new water source is closed and most importantly it provides fresh clean water for us. We do not have to use the pond anymore. Thank you Ricardo!”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
