Hai Tarawa, Yei River State, South Sudan
Kindly Donated During The DROP4DROP X ED SHEERAN Campaign
“Mary is 27 years old with three children, and the youngest daughter is the one presenting a certificate for Drop4Drop with a yellow protective WIB cap. Mary came from Tore county and settled in Yei as an IDP as a result of the conflict. Now she’s peaceful living together with the community members. Mary’s experience concerning access to clean water in Tore was terrible. There was no clean water source like she has received in Yei, in particular, hai Tarawa Central. When the borehole started wearing down, Mary was much worried because once it is broken, the communities would suffer more. T Today Mary is excited because the borehole is being maintained for the community to continue drinking from a clean source. Thank you, our friends, supporters, and our local technicians for standing unshakably with us, especially us women in Yei, South Sudan.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
