“They have an open well which was not protected. Animals and people shared the same water. Now the village is extremely happy because for the first time in the village they have clean and good water. Women danced and men clapped hands cheering for a pump in the village. People are hard workers, they grow a lot of maize and they also rear animals. They are interested to work with any organisation that will bring good news in their village. They have full hope that the coming in of in their village will change peoples lives due to the programmes brought for them.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.v
