“We were warmly welcomed in this village. Villagers were very happy to see the pump installed in their village for the first time. They have been using the water from unprotected open wells and believe this makes the village to be suffering from different diseases. They are thankful to the organisation because diseases will not be found in this village any more. The place has no trees. All trees were cut due to charcoal burning they ask for the forest project in the village. There are no hospitals in the area and people have more problems to get help when they are sick.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
