“Joy was all over the village upon our arrival in the village. Women ululated as we were installing the pump. Others said that God has answered their prayers. They have been praying for a long time to have good water in the village and now Wells for Zoё have come along and they are very thankful. The village is very far from the main road causing them to have several problems. They produce more crops in the village but they fail to find markets because of no good roads to transport their produce to the market. There are also no hospitals which make them face more problems when they are sick.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
