“It was a happy moment in the village of Chipimbininga upon our arrival. They just heard of people working in the area but they did not believe that at a time we will install a pump in the village. They sang songs, they danced and thanked partners for the initiative of helping poor people. The people in the village have so many challenges like not having a hospital in the area and roads are in bad condition that discourage people to work in the area. Clean water will make a difference.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
