“The installation was successfully done. People in the village were very happy to receive a pump in the village. Everything was well finished including the clearing of the surrounding. In their speech they thank Wells for Zoё for caring for the lives of the poor people. The area is mountainous and the people build their homes in uplands and they get water down the hills. Women have to go up and down the hills to get water. They are living very far from the main roads making movement to be a problem. They grow a lot of cassava for food and income.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
