“Women and children sung songs as we arrived in the village to show their happiness. They had to hire a well digger because nobody in the village could manage to dig this deep well. People in the village are now happy because the pump is installed in the village and is easy to use. People in the area are farmers. They grow a lot of onions and tomatoes. Some trees are found here and they are requesting for tree seedlings so that they should plant more trees. Most places in the area is bare and has lost fertility and they requested Trephrosia seeds so that they should improve soil fertility.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
