“The installation was good and we were warmly welcomed in the village. Villagers were extremely happy to have a pump in the village for the first time. Women had problems before to find good water to drink at a borehole 2.5KM away. They depended on an open well to get water for daily use. Some do business to find money for their daily living. They grow maize, soya beans, groundnuts and other crops but people do not benefit a lot because more traders (vendors) go there and buy their produce at a very low price.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
