‘We are grateful for this water. Sending children to collect water was always dangerous, early in the morning we spend our time worrying for our children’s safety and carrying heavy jerry cans. We then send them to school, so during their studies they are very tired before the day starts. Now with this clean water we no longer have to worry about these burdens on our children. Many thanks to the donor for this gift of water.’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
